Martin Bellof is our startup de-risking expert, someone who loves helping scientists bring ideas to life and research to market.

A startup enthusiast to the core, Martin spent almost his entire career in life science. He managed international R&D projects, acquired millions in public and venture capital funding and co-founded pillbox. Martin has a biology and business degree from Technical University of Darmstadt and gained experience in investment banking in Frankfurt and Sydney. Prior to joining chemstars, he was Business Director of Crop Evolution, a green biotech startup based in Dortmund. 

Martin firmly believes successful innovation initiatives are built on customer-centricity, trustful relationships and a shared vision among stakeholders as well as rigorous, data-driven decision-making.
